Compared to last week, the best test to last week's limited offering was on steer calves weighing 450-600 lbs and heifer calves weighing 450-550 lbs all trading 10.00-20.00 higher with instances 25.00 higher on the steer calves , 6 weight steers sold with a sharply higher undertone with all other weights selling with a higher undertone. Demand was very good on a heavy offering as quality ran very deep on the calves and pot loads of yearlings all selling on a very active market. Several large strings and groups of calves sold with good weighing conditions. Several stick out sales included 16 hd of thin 406 lb steers at 524.00, 75 hd fancy/thin steers weighing 595 lbs at 407.00, 26 hd weighing 597 lbs at 414.00, 49 steers weighing 623 lbs at 399.00, pot load 60 hd steers weighing 889 lbs at 295.00 and pot load 90 hd heifers weighing 631 lbs at 331.75. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm.
