Compared to last week's lighter offering, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold 5.00-15.00 higher, spots 20.00 higher on the 400-450 lbs steers, 500-600 lbs sold steady to firm, with 600-750 lbs selling 5.00-10.00 higher and seven pot loads of yearling steers weighing over 800 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 400-550 lbs sold steady to firm, with 550-600 lbs trading 5.00-10.00 higher and over 600 lbs sold with a higher undertone. Demand was good to very good on a moderate to heavy supply. Quality was very good on calves and yearlings as buyers were very aggressive to purchase cattle Several stick-out sales included a pot load 68 hd of 700 lb steers with good weighing conditions dropping the gavel at 302.00, 50 hd heifers weighing 550 lbs at 306.00, with 38 hd of bigger sisters weighing 576 lbs at 290.00 with a group of 721 lb heifers sold at 257.50. Slaughter cows sold firm to 5.00 higher.
