Compared to two weeks ago, steer calves under 550 lbs sold with a weak to lower undertone on a light test, 550-750 lbs sold 2.00-4.00 lower and over 750 lbs were not well tested. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs were not well tested, with 450-750 lbs selling steady to 2.00 higher, spots 4.00 higher on the 550-600 lb heifers. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. Monday's offering included many small packages and singles with overall quality not as attractive as two weeks ago. CME cattle futures started the week on a high note closing with triple digit gains. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower.
