Compared to last week, a light test of 4 weight steer calves sold with a firm undertone, weaned 500-600 lb steer calves sold 3.00-6.00 higher, with steers over 600 lbs selling steady. Feeder heifers traded steady to firm with 450-500 lbs selling steady to spots 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. Bulk of the feeders weighed 400-700 lbs with a nice offering of 5 weight steers, 7 weight heifers and several part loads of yearling 8 weight steers sold with the best demand. Last week's strong cash trade in the fed cattle market ranging from 112.00-115.00 is supplying plenty of support to the yearling market and keeping the calf market active as well..
