Compared to last week, a light test of 4 weight steer calves sold steady to firm, with 500-600 lbs selling steady to 3.00 lower, spots 5.00 lower on the 550-600 lbs, 600-700 lbs sold mostly steady with yearling steers over 700 lbs selling with a firm to higher undertone with few comparisons from last week. Heifer calves weighing 400-600 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone on the weaned heifer calves with few good comparisons from last week, over 600 lbs were lightly tested but sold with a firm undertone. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Last Friday's Cattle on Feed Report was well within expectations as Monday's CME cattle futures all closed higher.
