Compared to last week, a light test of 4 weight steers sold with a firm to higher undertone, 500-600 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher with 600-700 lbs trading steady to firm, weights over 700 lbs were not tested. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs and 550-700 lb sold mostly steady on comparable sales, with 500-550 lbs selling with a firm to higher undertone on a light test and a pot load of 705 lb heifers off the same consignment as last week traded 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. CME cattle futures on Monday had active triple-digit gains as traders came back into the market.
