Compared to last week, the best test on feeder steers weighed 450-600 lbs and sold mostly 5.00 higher, steers over 600 lbs were lightly tested. Feeder heifers weighing 450-550 lbs sold 4.00-6.00 higher with a nice offering of heifers weighing over 600 lbs selling with a higher undertone on few comparisons with last week. Slaughter cows on a light test traded steady to firm. A light offering on Monday, but overall quality was very good on the calves weighing 450-600 lbs and heifers weighing over 600 lbs. Demand was good with supply light. Feeder cattle futures posted strong gains on Monday with support developing as grain prices eroded on Monday.
