Compared to last week, a light test of 500-550 lb steer calves sold mostly 5.00 lower, with 600-800 lb steers selling steady and three pot loads of 870-880 lb yearling steers trading with a higher undertone with no recent test. Feeder heifers weighing 450-500 lbs sold steady on a light offering with 500-600 lbs selling 2.00-4.00 lower and weights over 600 lbs not well tested. Slaughter cows on a light test sold with a firm undertone. Demand was moderate to good best on yearling steers with supply moderate. Fed cattle traded higher last week and corn futures closed with sharp losses on Monday giving back Friday's gains.
