Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves under 450 lbs sold with a higher undertone on a light test, 450-550 lb steers and 450-600 lb heifers sold 5.00-10.00 higher, with 550-600 lb steers selling 2.00-5.00 higher, 600-800 lb steers sold with a higher undertone on few comparable sales with a pot load of 890 lb steers off the same consignment as last week traded 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing over 600 lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone on three pot loads of 635-700 lb heifers. Slaughter cows sold fully steady to firm. Demand was good with supply moderate. A very nice good quality offering of steers and heifers weighing mostly 400-700 lbs with good weighing conditions all sold with good demand. Cattle futures reversed late week loses from last Friday with sharp triple-digit gains on Monday.
