Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 450-700 lbs and heifers weighing 500-650 lbs sold 3.00-7.00 lower with yearling steers over 700 lbs and heifers over 650 lbs all trading with a lower undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 450-500 lbs sold steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows traded fully steady to firm. Light to moderate demand for the lighter offering of feeder cattle as quality was not as attractive as last week on calves weighing 450-650 lbs with more unweaned and fleshy calves this week. Sharp triple-digit losses on the cattle futures on Monday along with a lower fat cattle market last week pressured the feeder cattle market.
