Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady, 500-550 lb steers sold 3.00-5.00 lower, 550-650 lbs traded unevenly steady to spots 2.00 lower, 650-825 lb yearling steers sold steady to firm, with 850-900 lbs selling mostly 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers 400-600 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher, with 600-700 lbs selling steady to 4.00 higher, best test on 7 weight heifers was a pot load from same consignment as last week weighing 715 lbs trading 2.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Demand was moderate to good with supply heavy. A very good offering of good quality calves and yearlings all through the sale sold on and active market despite eroding cattle futures.
