Compared to the feeder calf / yearling auction just one week ago, 500 - 600 lb steer calves were 4.00 to 9.00 higher, 600 - 700 lb were 9.00 to sharply higher and yearling cattle, both steers and heifer were 6.00 to 11.00 higher. Heifer trade today saw 500 - 550 lb calves 7.00 to 9.00 higher, 600 - 700 lb fully steady with a lower undertone. Available today were many load lots of green yearling cattle. In today's moderate offering were many "home-raised", weaned and green quality feeder calves. Demand was very good. Trade was active.
