Compared to the feeder calf auction 2 weeks ago ( Jan 22 ) 400 - 500 lb steer calves were fully steady, 500 - 600 lb calves 6.00 to 12.00 higher and 600 - 700 lb calves as much as 9.00 higher. Yearling steers were 4.00 - 5.00 lower. Heifer trade today saw 500 - 600 lb calves 9.00 - 12.00 higher with 600 -700 lb calves fully steady with a stronger undertone. Quality ran very deep in today's offering of home - raised, LTW'd and green feeder calves. Demand was very good for today's moderate supply. Trade very active.
