Compared to the feeder calf / yearling auction 2 weeks ago, 500 - 600 lb steer calves were fully steady, 600 -700 lb calves were steady to 4.00 higher and yearling steers were also steady to 8.00 lower. Heifer calf trade today saw 400 -500 lb calves 10.00 lower, 600 - 700 lb calves 1.00 to 7.00 lower with yearling heifers fully steady. Available today were many "green" LTW'd, double vaccinated steer and heifer calves. Demand was good for the moderate supply. Trade was active. The next calf auction is June 12.
