Compared to last week both feeder steers and heifers sold to un-even to establish a trend, partially because of a lack of comparable cattle to last week and several offerings of fleshy and new crop calves. With very dry conditions across the region and October with it's wild temperature swings just around the corner buyers discounted the un-weaned and new crop calves and focused more on the weaned and value added cattle. Slaughter cows and Bulls sold mostly steady. Supply was moderate and demand was moderate to good.
