Special Notice: A Special Replacement Cow Sale is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Over 500 head are expected, including bred cows, bred heifers, open heifers, and bulls.

Market Summary:

Receipts were light on feeder cattle today due to recent cold, wet weather conditions. Despite the reduced supply, demand was very strong across all classes. The offering consisted of both weaned and unweaned calves, with an increased supply of lightweight calves noted. Calves carrying extra condition sold on very strong demand. Slaughter cattle also saw strong demand throughout the day.

The sale was not reported last week; therefore, no comparison is available. However, buyers seemed to be gaining stronger confidence in the market, with some good gains in the feeder futures.
