Compared to last week, supply on feeders was lighter than the previous week, with mixed offerings of weaned and fleshier new crop calves. Feeder steers and heifers sold unevenly, selling $5.00 lower to $5.00 higher. Demand continues to be strong. With the record prices we've seen over the past year, it seems producers are pulling these calves off sooner and taking advantage of these high prices, but in return, offerings on calves over 600lb are getting harder to come by. Slaughter cattle sold steady to $3.00 lower.
