Compared to the last sale 05/01/2025: Bulk of the feeder cattle trades were in the South. Feeder steers sold 15.00-20.00 higher. Feeder heifers mostly 4.00-8.00 higher. Not enough current FOB calf trades to test trends. Demand very good for feeder cattle. Bullish tones remined in the cattle complex since the last sale. The brakes were put on yesterday as cattle futures sold sharply lower and this trend continued on Thursday. 302.00 and some change seemed to be the high point of the Feeder Futures and now we will see where the bottom will be. Never the less, numbers remain short. Next week's monthly cattle on feed report is expected to show very low on feed number for May 1. Supply included 74 percent from South Central; <1 percent North East; 1 percent North Central; 20 percent South East; and 4 percent from the West. Deliveries are current through December 2025. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the sale and is up to and including May 29, 2025.
