Compared to last week: Feeder steers 2.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers lightly tested for Current FOB trades, few sales steady. Demand moderate but seller interest good. Cattle futures sharply lower late in the week but falling in with the decline in financial markets. Slaughter cattle trade has been slow to develop as bids are coming in some cheaper than last week. Good rains falling across much of the Midwest and more to fall into the weekend. Cooler temperatures are here as well but should warm by next week. Supply is 60 percent from South Central; 22 percent South East; 10 percent North Central; 7 percent from the West and 1 percent from the North East. Deliveries are current through October 2025. Current delivery is 14 days from the day of the sale and is up to and including April 17, 2025.
