Compared to the last sale 08/26/24: Feeder steers under 800 lbs steady to 5.00 lower; over 800 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers lightly tested for Current FOB and unevenly steady. Bulk of the calf trade for fall or later delivery and these sold to good demand. Cattle futures continue volatile causing some confusion on market direction. Slaughter cattle trade continues to slowly trade downward and feedyards selling limited numbers on the cash side. Cooler weather has finally made it's way across much of the plains this past week as well as some spotty rains. Supply included 63% from South Central, 16% North Central, 9% from the South East, 4% from the North East and 8% from the West,. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video and is up to and including September 19, 2024. Deliveries are Current thru Apr 2025.
