Reporter comment USDA
As filedCompared to last week: Not enough feeder steers or heifers to test trends, however a sharply lower undertone noted. Demand and seller interest moderate at best following the sharp downturn in cattle futures. Cattle futures opened the day higher, but not yet near enough to make up for the losses on Monday and Tuesday. Supply included 100 percent from the South Central region. Current delivery is 14 days from the day of the video and is up to and including May 27, 2026. Deliveries are current thru June.
