Reporter comment USDA
As filedCompared to last week: Not enough comparable trades to test trends. Few sales were definitely higher. No test on feeder heifers. Continued limited numbers has increased demand for feeder cattle. Cattle futures made strong advances following last Friday's Cattle on Feed Report until today. Most all months trading near 1.00 or more lower at the time of this report. Temperatures have finally warmed, making us all long for spring. The last two weeks of extreme winter weather proved tough on cattle gains.
