Today, Northern Livestock video auction held the Annual Fall Premier Sale. Demand was moderate to good for light offerings. Spring born calves and yearlings both sold on moderate to good demand. Several offerings of light weight calves were seen suitable to develop into yearlings. These late delivered offerings sold with the best demand as the August feeder cattle contract closed over 200.00 today. Weaned cattle were left untagged. Most of these offerings sold in November and December. Very good demand was seen for Value Added cattle that were 3rd party verified. Cattle tagged as Value added were enrolled in two or more programs and had to be verified by a 3rd party. The largest premiums given were for cattle sold as All Natural, NHTC and GAP combined. Market activity was active to very active.
