Northern Livestock video auction held the Fall Premier sale today, the last sale of the summer video schedule. Demand was light to moderate for early delivered, light weight fall calves. Heavy weight calves weighing over 650 lbs, as well as all weaned calves sold on moderate to good demand. Demand for yearlings was mostly moderate. Drought conditions continue to force cattle to be marketed early and many are coming in light and green. Many ranches continue to advertise that they were "able to tag to deliver to Canada at buyers expense". All cattle tagged as Value Added were 3rd party verified and were enrolled in more than one program. Demand for replacement cattle was mostly moderate, with many young bred cows selling due to drought.
