Market activity today was active on moderate to good demand for fall delivered calves and late summer/early fall delivered yearlings. The stands were full with many ranchers and buyers bidding ringside, over the phone and on the internet. Value added consignments are from cattle that are enrolled in at least 2 programs e.g. All Natural, Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (N.H.T.C.), GAP, Angus link etc. Otherwise individual programs are tagged specifically. Strong premiums were seen throughout the sale for value added cattle. Demand for fall calves was best for heavy weight calves delivered before mid October. Weaned calves also saw strong premiums.
