Completed the second and final day of Western's Little America sale held in Cheyenne, WY. Demand and seller interest was mostly good. CME positions have moved lower since the last western summer video and buyers adjusted prices accordingly as they balanced lower breakeven prices. However, demand remains good for all offerings as buyers fight over tight supplies. Demand for replacement heifers was very good with many sets outselling their steer mates. Demand for light weight calves suitable to run on grass remains good as yearling buyers continue to be profitable and showed a strong willingness to reload pastures for next turnout season. Demand and premiums for

weaned calves was good this sale with many weaned offerings noticed. Yearling demand was good as well with many offerings coming off grass. Very few POs were seen this sale as ranchers took advantage of historically high prices. Less than 3.5% of the feeder cattle offering was P.O. this sale. Deliveries so far are current through February 2027. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video (August 11th) and is up to and including August 25, 2026.
