Compared to last week steers calves less than 550 lbs sold 10.00 to 20.00 higher, over 550 lbs sold unevenly steady. Heifer calves sold steady. Not enough yearlings for a market test. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady with bulk of the cows going back to the feedlot. Demand was good to instances very good for heifer calves that will more than likely get a bang clip in their ear and a bull with them next spring. This lot of heifers brough more dollars per head than their steer bothers weighing the same. A really nice set of F1 Baldy heifers. Some reputation bred heifers sold on Monday and Friday with close to an all time high on Friday with the bred heifers selling at 5150.00 per head for spring calving. Spotty rain showers in a few areas helping add some much need moisture going into the fall.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
