Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers sold steady to weak on a thin test. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 7.00 to 9.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows might continue to back up as ranchers will be shipping old, thin and probably all open cows to town soon due to dry and burned grazing pastures. Some ranchers will buy hay to help supplement livestock and try to keep most cows around for another year.
