Not enough comparable offerings of steers for a weekly market trend. Best comparison on heifers was from 500 to 700 lbs and those weights sold steady to 6.00 higher. Slaughter cows, feeding cows and slaughter bulls sold 5.00 to 9.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good for all offerings. Little rain and cooler temperatures prevailed across the state this week. Per NASS, barley planted is at 84 percent with 63 percent of it emerged. Corn planted at 14 percent. Sugar-beets planted comes in at 57 percent with 3 percent emerged. Winter wheat is rated at 73 percent good condition compared to 18 percent last year.
