Compared to last week steers less than 500 lbs sold sharply higher, 500 to 600 lbs sold 1.00 higher, 600 to 900 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Most weights of heifers sold 2.00 higher except 5 and 7 weight heifers sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold sharply higher on the week. Demand was good for summer turnout cattle, feeders, and slaughter cattle as numbers in most classes is getting in a tight supply across the state.
