Compared to last week steers under 500 lbs sold sharply higher, most lots over 500 lbs sold steady except 7 weights sold 8.00 higher. Flyweight heifers sold sharply higher with all other weights trading unevenly steady. Slaughter, feeding and rebreed cows sold 3.00 to 7.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Bred heifers and bred cows steady. Demand was good for all classes of cattle. Warmer weather across most of the state hopefully it will hold out for the ranchers that are calving. Quite a lot of bales of hay sitting around different areas of the state waiting to be sold. This will be the first year in quite some time that many producers could have old crop hay in the sheds when first cutting goes into a bale.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
