Heifers under 700 lbs sold unevenly steady, over 700 lbs sold 2.00 to 6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 4.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Snow in a large area of the trade area is making it hard for buyers and sellers alike to transport livestock. Receipts were curtailed this week due to the poor road conditions. Tick warmer weather is in the near forecast and should help melt current snow levels. Many livestock owners continue to seek bales of hay to help with winter feeding needs.
