Compared to last week steers under 500 lbs sold steady, 500 to 700 lbs sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher and over 700 lbs sold 5.00 lower. Heifers under 600 lbs sold steady to 2.00 lower, over 600 lbs sold 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher and slaughter bulls steady. Demand was good for grass cattle with moderate demand for feeder cattle and bred stock. That time of year where most runs consist of weaned calves with some displaying a tick more condition or flesh than some buyers like to buy. Wet, sloppy, mudding pens prevail in a large area and buyers were reluctant to back fill empty pens at in a three-state region. On a plus to all this moisture, snowpack for the end of last week came in with the basin high of 168% basin low at 58% with the median at 119%. Last year was at 119% and at 85% in 2021 snowpack. This should fill most reservoirs with much needed irrigation water.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
