Steers and heifers over 700 lbs unevenly steady. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 higher and bulls 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Light snow coupled by slick roads shortened slaughter cattle receipts at reporting auctions on Friday. But most people are happy with the heavy wet snow. This snow will be melted and the parched ground will soak it up like a sponge as daytime highs are forecasted to be in the 50’s early in the week.
