Compared to last week, feeder steers were mostly 3.00-5.00 higher; feeder heifers under 700 lbs were mostly 2.00-5.00 higher, and heifers over 700 lbs were too few to compare to the previous week. All classes of feeders were in moderate to good demand with active trade. The best demand was noted for long-weaned, preconditioned cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady with moderate demand. All comparisons this week for feeder and slaughter cattle are based on a limited test from last week’s light run due to the Memorial Day holiday.
