Compared to last week, feeder and slaughter cattle markets have seen an upturn in prices although receipts were limited and trade was moderate at best. Feeder cattle were too limited to test fully, but a higher undertone was apparent for all classes with good demand. One aspect that remains the same: long-weaned, preconditioned feeder cattle remain in the best demand throughout the state. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly 4.00-6.00 higher, with some instances of sharply higher with very good demand. Market volatility remains a day-to-day occurrence with producers and consumers alike navigating through the current times with caution.
