Compared to last week: Steer calves 15.00 to 30.00 lower, except 550-600 lbs and 650-700 lbs. Heifer calves 5.00 to 10.00, instances of 15.00 to 18.00 lower. Yearling feeder steers 14.00 to 20.00 lower, yearling feeder heifers 10.00 to 15.00 lower, except 900-1000 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Moderate to good demand for both calves and yearlings. The wild moves in the cattle futures complex is making it very difficult for cattle producers to make any marketing decisions. Cattle feeders faced much lower packer bids this week, sales reported down to the 210.00 level, which is causing them the rethink their approach to entering the feeder cattle market. The optimism that was rampant throughout the entire industry has now been replaced by fear as there is so much uncertainty in the market.
