Slaughter cows 1.00-3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 4.00 higher. This week has been an oddity of conflicting market signals, uneven quality, and rapidly changing weather conditions. Yesterday saw live cattle and feeder cattle futures sharply lower, while boxed beef values declined. Despite the pressure across the board, packers still paid 255-260 on a Thursday, marking new record-high cash trade.
