Compared to last week: Feeder cattle 15.00-30.00 higher compared to the light test of last week's holiday shortened week. Calves 20.00-40.00 higher. Demand very good. Slaughter cows 2.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 6.00 higher. Head count numbers continue to tighten, with only 21,000 head sold this week compared to 46,000 head a year ago. CME January feeder cattle futures contract is currently up 17.00 for the week. Next week's forecast calls for a mild winter warm-up. Extreme drought is beginning to creep back into southwestern and south central Oklahoma and moisture would be welcomed across the entire state.
