Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-7.00 higher. Demand good for all classes. Steer calves sold 2.00-10.00 higher and heifer calves steady to 5.00 higher. Cooler weather and thunderstorms were present across the trading area at the beginning of the week, but soon moved into warm humid conditions towards the end of the week. Slaughter cows steady to 5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Supply included: 95% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 8% Heifers, 1% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 3% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (66% Bred Cows, 1% Bred Heifers, 22% Cow-Calf Pairs, 12% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 81%.
