For NASS: 1,938 cows and bulls sold with 52 percent going to packers; Last week: 2,190 with 63 percent going to packers; Last year: 1,971 with 42 percent going to packers.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 3.00-10.00 lower. Feeder heifers 7.00-10.00 lower. Demand mostly light for all classes. Steer calves 6.00-16.00 lower. Heifer calves 6.00-15.00 lower. Both Feeder and Live cattle futures have been closing sharply lower this week. Outside fears have been affecting all markets this week. The Dow experienced the largest one day drop in history, currently sitting under 25,000 points. Warmer weather is expected for the trade area next week. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls mostly 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand moderate.
