Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 7 auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, Oklahoma City, OKC West, Tulsa and Woodward. Feeder steers 2.00-5.00 higher, few instances of 1.00 lower on steers over 800 lbs. Feeder heifers steady to 5.00 higher, instance of 1.00 lower on 750 lbs. Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher. Demand moderate to good for calves. Demand good for long weaned calves , moderate for others. Rains continued this week across the state with flooding rains taking place in the North east. Wheat planting continues and some areas wheat is up. Warm temperatures and moisture has helped growth but has farmers worried about grasshoppers and worms. Slaughter cows steady to 4.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher.
