Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 5 auctions: Ada, Apache, Mcalester, OKC West(feeders and calves only), and

Woodward. Oklahoma City, OKC West Cow sale and Tulsa closed for the Labor Day Holiday. All classes lightly tested this holiday shortened

week. Limited numbers of feeder cattle sold 1.00-3.00 lower with weights under 700 lbs selling steady to 4.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves

sold 4.00-10.00 lower. Numbers expected to be some larger next week as farmers have wheat planting on their minds. Many are busy

working ground getting ready to plant so any cattle that need to be sold will head to market before the planting begins. Weather has

remained very warm this first week of September but State Fair begins next week and that typically brings cooler weather and rain. Slaughter

cows 1.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 1.00-4.00 lower. Packer demand moderate for limited numbers.
