Compared to last week the best test of the steer market was weights over 800 lbs that sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers from 700 to 800 lbs sold 12 higher, 800 to 900 lbs sold 10.00 higher and over 900 lbs sold 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Several packages of preg checked open, front end kind of heifers at the two reporting auctions this week. Feedlots sold dressed sales steady at 345.00 and live sales sold steady to 4.00 lower at 218.00. Sileage chopping in pretty much full swing across the state with a few feedlots all ready done.
