Compared to last week fresh bawling steers and heifers sold with a higher undertone. Feeder steers from 600 to 900 lbs sold steady to 5.00 lower with 900 lbs steers 15.00 lower and 1025 weights 9.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold steady to mostly 5.00 lower. Demand was good for fresh bawlers with moderate to good demand for yearling feeders. Bulk of the fresh calves came from Crawford area as there pastures are very dry, very short with little to no grass and ranchers selling some of there 2026 calf crop 2 to 3 months earlier than normal. Weaning calves, giving the cow time to regroup and hopefully put some condition on before winter. Spotty rain showers across the state along with quite a lot of hail in some areas and excessive wind damage to what stood in it's path. Another tough week in the CME cattle boards with spill over into the feedlot trade. Live sales sold steady to 5.00 lower at 225.00 and dressed sales sold 7.00 to 12.00 lower from 355.00 to 356.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
