Compared to last week steers less than 800 lbs sold 10.00 lower, 8 weight steers sold 10.00 higher and 900 lbs sold steady. Heifers less than 500 lbs sold 10.00 higher, Over 500 lbs sold 8.00 to 10.00 lower. Bred cows and cow/pairs sold unevenly steady. Demand was moderate to good throughout the week. Ranchers continue to make very hard decisions and slowly downsize herds due to the lack of rain and poor range conditions across the Sandhills. Some spotty rain showers have prevailed across some areas since the last weekly report. Feedlot trade was very slow throughout the week with limited sales by Friday's close on a straight cash basis. For the week Feedlot trade live sales ranged from 255.00 to 257.00 live and 403.00 to 405.00, instances of 410.00 dressed.
