Compared to last week most weights of steers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher and heifers sold steady to 10.00 higher. Demand was good with very good demand for replacement heifers. Large lot of true F1 baldie heifers weighing 948 lbs sold for 4550.00 per head. They are headed out of state and will have a bull placed with them for 2027 calving. Another set of black hided 738 lbs heifers going to summer grass dropped the gravel at 403.00. With the CME cattle boards trading higher and record high prices on slaughter steers and heifers the upward momentum spilled over into the calf and feeder cattle market. Buyers were active on the seats and on the internet. Area feedlots on the cash trade sold live sales from 255.00 to 257.00 and dressed sales sold at mostly 400.00!

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
