Compared to last week, steers less than 700 lbs lightly tested but a lower undertone was noted. Over 700 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher. Heifers sold unevenly steady throughout the week. Demand was good with quite a few buyers around the auctions and internet buying was also active. With todays active market many fall calf producers are selling bawlers instead of weaning them. Million-dollar rain over the Memorial Day weekend across most areas of the state. Nice, slow moving rain showers lasted most of the weekend, bringing much needed moisture that soaked into the ground making mud for the first time in many areas this year. Nebraska feedlots' sales continue to set all-time high prices. Live sales sold 1.00-2.00 higher from 230.00-231.00. Bulk of the dressed sales sold 2.00 higher from 360.00-370.00, mostly at 360.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
