Replacement CattleReceipts 2,165Last week 331Year ago 857

Compared to last week's very heavy offerings, steers less than 500 lbs sold 6.00 higher, over 500 to 700 lbs sold 2.00 lower, over 700 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Heifers less than 500 lbs sold 10.00 higher, over 500 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher except 8 weights sold 6.00 higher. Demand was good to very good especially at week's close for calves and feeders with good demand for bred heifers and cows. Bullish cattle on feed report along with supportive CME cattle boards and new records in the feedlot trade helped propel the cattle sales higher at week's close. Friday and Saturday feeder cattle sales posted some new highs on various weights. Feedlot traded jumped up as all area packers were trying to secure inventory going into the first of February. Live sales sold from 210.00 to 212.00 and dressed sales from 328.00 to 330.00. Wow!

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
