Compared to last week, heavy 900 weight yearling steers off grass sold steady, Heifers off grass sold unevenly steady. Both steers and heifers were on a very thin test. With the CME feeder cattle boards down and mix trading on the live cattle throughout the week demand was good for the light supply of feeders. Area feedlots traded live and dressed sales 2.00 lower, live at 196.00 and dressed sales at 310.00. Scattered rain showers across the state along with quite a lot of hail in some areas wiping crops completely out. Most of the state looks rather good with several counties in the Panhandle abnormally to moderate drought conditions.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
